Could this Ever Take Place In NZ?

The video above mentions that the UK and Australian governments have the ability, via a kill switch, to shut down internet access country wide, granting them unprecedented powers in the instance that they should ever use it.

Does the New Zealand government have such powers?

According to this article from 2021, NZ was close to launching an “an Internet Censorship Draft Law”. The Films, Videos, and Publications Classification (Urgent Interim Classification of Publications and Prevention of Online Harm) Amendment Bill was apparently “scrapped” according to the article.

However, on a simple Internet search for the bill, it appears that it has indeed been enacted by Parliament, and received Royal Assent on 2 November 2021.

That makes sense, as how else could the government have demanded FreeNZ takedown the Barry Young interviews, with threat of imprisonment, if not for there being a highly pro-censorship statute in existence?

From the summary of the first reading of the Bill:

The Government’s position is that regulatory gaps have emerged in the classification legislation because of technological changes since its enactment in 1993, and that these should be addressed so that regulators have the necessary tools to quickly remove harmful content.

So, as we know with the World Economic Forum, BlackRock and the other globalist institutions who are bankrolling these governmental efforts to dampen and suppress free speech worldwide, they have a different playbook for each country. This is to test which of their strategies works best and, once decided, to give these globalists a blueprint with which to rollout the successful (and oppressive) latest strategy, worldwide. We saw that tactic with the Covid lockdowns (which started in NZ), and the vaccine mandates. The world was in ‘lock step’ for those crazy years, and lock step was a term used in Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development - a report produced by The Rockefeller Foundation in 2010.

New Zealand may not have a kill switch for instant shutdowns (or maybe they still do, and they just failing to inform The People about it), but it appears that the strategy will be to slowly choke out any freedom of speech. Will this Luxon government slowly but surely make it increasingly difficult to express the truths about government enforced mandates, and suppressed and anonymised death statistics, and any other crucial hidden information, for which the government decides to withhold release to The People?

InternetNZ does not mention any detail about an Internet Kill Switch. However they do highlight articles from the Spinoff and other references to so-called ‘misinformation’ online. To anyone who sees the worldwide trend towards banning Free Speech, the bias there is as clear as day.
