We Will Remember You

The turmoil of post-shot tinnitus was too relentless for this Kiwi grandmother.

‘Thinking Kiwis’ shared this potent piece and brought to light the immense yet quiet suffering that many good, salt-of-the-earth Kiwis have endured during this immensely challenging period.

To the ones who couldn’t endure any more pain and suffering - we offer this piece to honour your lives, and to vow that, “We Will Remember You”.

To anyone who is feeling on the edge, please reach out and tell us your story in the comments. You will find so much love and support and care from the real Kiwis, the brave ones, the truthful ones who will not turn away when you speak up. We will find ways to help you (see below). There is love here that will begin the healing process within you.

There are still thousands of us who care, no matter what our media, our police and our broken politicians have done to this country. We care about the People, and YOU, reading this, matter to us all.

Here is the background note to this moving piece, written just after this tragedy happened at Christmas 2021:

Dear Thinking Kiwis

We confess we didn't feel like celebrating Christmas this year.  If it weren't for our young children, nothing festive would have happened; but it seemed unfair to put a damper on their spirits and especially being it's the second confined Christmas in a row.  We had to try, hence stepping away for 12 days.  It wasn't until several of us were handing out candy canes & salutations to fellow pedestrians with respect and a (maskless) smile, that we felt the 'goodwill to all men' that more often than not permeates this special season. 

Sadly the 12-day break turned into a few more when someone in close proximity committed suicide.  In time we may detail more, but for now let's say the person themselves attributed it to a side effect of the injection, a side effect that they couldn't live with any longer.  A kind, giving, tortured soul who is now lost through the cracks of NZ's 'health' system, after being coerced into taking an injection to keep their job.  Someone who did everything they could to get help for themselves, crying out for relief and a cure, now gone forever.

We are still here to serve you ideas, perspectives and challenges for conversation.

May truth prevail and freedom reign again,
